NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., April 20, 2012 – No matter how you slice it, the 3rd Annual Project Access Charity Golf Tournament to be held at the Strawberry Farms Golf Club in Irvine on Monday, June 12, will be helping a great cause.
Project Access is a leading provider of vital health, education and employment services to families, children and seniors living in low-income housing communities.
To register to play or to become a sponsor, contact volunteer tournament chairman James Reed at jim@lgocllc.com or 949-874-1388.
Sponsors include The Crean Foundation, Affordable Housing Access, BRE Properties, Bridge Investment Group, Bristol Equity Capital, CSCDA (HB Consulting), East West Bank, Highridge Costa Companies, Sares-Regis Vitus Development Group, VPM Management, Bank of the West, Jerome Fink Foundation, Century Housing, Fore Property Company, Lucas Development, Moss Adams Capital, LLC, Related Companies of California, Steadfast Companies, Wilmington Trust, Everette - Callahan Insurance, FPA Multifamily, LLC and RC Baker Foundation.
Other opportunities are still available. Last year, the organization’s tournament grossed more than $131,000 with 100% of the proceeds going towards helping keep family members employed, children in school and seniors active.
The tee package includes lunch, dinner, gift bags with premium golf shirts, foursome photos, on-course competitions, including a chance to win a hole-in-one car provided by Newport Lexus, cigar rolling and refreshments, including craft beer from Bayhawk Ales and Bootlegger Brewing and tequila from Karma Tequila.
Jeff Farley, professional long drive competitor, will demonstrate his golfing skills. After golfing, participants are invited to a cocktail reception, dinner and awards presentation. Additionally, there will be silent and live auctions, as well as opportunity drawings to win premium golf clubs, and more.
Project Access CEO Kristin Byrnes is thrilled with the growth of the tournament in just three years and is confident that the 2013 edition will be even more successful.
“Project Access provides vital resources to low-income residents, furthering their education, and helping them become financially stable and contributing members of our communities,” she said. “By supporting this event, everyone involved is giving them the extra help they need to break the cycle of poverty.”
