Newport Beach Film Festival and Project Access Co-Present Screening of
“Crossing the Line”
Gripping Film Tells the Tragic Yet Uplifting Story of Olympian Danny Harris
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., April 18, 2017 – Project Access today announced its partnership with the Newport Beach Film Festival to co-present a screening of the film “Crossing the Line” at Triangle Cinemas in Costa Mesa on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 5:15 p.m.
“Project Access is thrilled to join prominent corporations and community organizations in supporting the Newport Beach Film Festival,” said Kathy McCarrell, President and CEO of Project Access. “We are proud to co-present this important film that demonstrates the power of athletics to lift those in need out of desperate situations in a way that is truly life-altering.”

“Crossing the Line” tells the tragic yet uplifting story of athletics prodigy Danny Harris, and his battle with his demons on and off the track. Orphaned at 14, Olympic hurdler at 18, crack cocaine addict at 22, world number-one at 25, and finished at 30, this documentary explores the fine line between greatness and addiction. Featuring some of the biggest names in track and field history including Carl Lewis, Edwin Moses and Jackie Joyner-Kersee, the dramatic tale of Harris’s rise, fall and eventual redemption is like no other.
