Project Access’ Family Resource Center in Downtown Los Angeles
“Adopted” by City National Bank
LOS ANGELES, CALIF., April 25, 2017 – Project Access today announced that City National Bank has renewed its Adopt-A-Center commitment to the Family Resource Center at Vista Angelina Apartments in downtown. This renewal will help fund Project Access’ critical programs that give low-income families a pathway out of poverty.
“We are delighted that City National Bank has once again committed to adopting our high-need resource center at Vista Angelina Apartments,” said Kathy McCarrell, President and CEO of Project Access. “City National Bank has a longstanding commitment to serving low-income children and families, and it is an honor to partner with them to serve families in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.
The Adopt-A-Center program engages corporate partners in “adopting” a specific Family or Senior Resource Center within Project Access’ portfolio of 61 centers. Banks and corporations that adopt a Project Access resource center make an annual contribution of $7,500, with funds going directly to support programs and services conducted on-site. Partners have an opportunity to renew their commitment each year.
“City National Bank is thrilled to renew our commitment to Project Access’ Family Resource Center at Vista Angelina Apartments,” said Theresa Don Lucas, Vice President, Community Reinvestment Officer at City National Bank. “It is a privilege for us to be a part of a program that benefits the community in such a tangible way.”
Project Access and City National Bank have partnered since 2015 to serve the community through financial education workshops and volunteer projects. In 2016, Project Access served 151 individuals at the Vista Angelina Family Resource Center. For more information on Project Access and the Adopt-A-Center program, visit www.project-access.org.
