NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Sept. 00, 2012 – In conjunction with the University of Southern California, Project Access is piloting a new case management service to assist residents of 12 affordable housing communities in Southern California that are served by the nonprofit’s resource centers.
The service will involve 10 interns who are studying in the university’s Masters in Social Work program. The case management service is designed to help residents reach their own personal goals through increased access to and utilization of resources, supportive coaching and advocacy with the long-term goal of improving their quality of life.
Student interns will work a total of 300 hours assisting in the resource centers activities, as well as taking on resident cases.
“We are happy to establish this pilot program with USC as it adds much needed intensive services for those families and individuals who need more support,” said Project Access CEO Kristin Byrnes.
