NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., November 00, 2012 – A call for cash donations, gifts for children 6-18 or practical items for adults has been sounded by Project Access, the leading provider of vital health, education and employment services for families, children and seniors living in low-income housing communities.
The contributions will help to assure that financially challenged working families and seniors enjoy a holiday celebration this year.
“We are asking for the support of community-minded Californians so that we can provide holiday celebrations at each of our more than 40 Family and Senior Resource Centers throughout California,” said Project Access CEO Kristin Byrnes.
“It is our intention that every low-income Project Access participant will enjoy a festive holiday celebration, and every child will leave with a toy – perhaps the only one they will receive this holiday season,” she said.
The 40-plus Resource Centers operated by Project Access foster a culture of change by assisting residents from a broad range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds to improve their lives through education, employment, wellness, and financial capability, among other programs.
Interested parties can make cash donations, provide in-kind gifts or host a drive for toys for children and useful household items, such as cleaning supplies or paper goods, for adults.
“Our goal is to raise at least $25,000 in order to provide holiday cheer to more than 2,500 individuals this holiday season,” said Byrnes.
