NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., May 21, 2014 – Nonprofit Project Access is pleased to announce that more than $21,000 was raised at its annual Bowling for a Cause – Every Strike Counts! Fundraiser, which took place on April 29 at Bowlmor Lanes in The District at Tustin.
Project Access strives to be the leading provider of vital health, education and employment services to families, children and seniors living in low-income housing communities.
Sponsors included Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Bank of the West Wealth Management, Eagle Real Estate Group, Farmers & Merchants Bank, and Preferred Hotel Group, along with Paul Salerno and Darren Daye. Affordable Housing Access was the events’ strike sponsor.
“We are delighted with the success of the event and thank our generous sponsors and teams for their valuable contributions,” said CEO and President Kristin Byrnes. “The funds we raised from this event will help to improve early childhood education programs that directly enhance the cognitive and social development of at-risk children and ensure their successful transition into kindergarten. Additionally, the funds will advance K-12 education programs that directly improve the academic success of at- risk youth by improving grade-appropriate reading and mathematics and will increase parent engagement in the child's academic success.”
Project Access serves nearly 11,000 individuals at over 50 properties in California and is expanding to multiple cities throughout the western region.
