Project Access Names Annabelle Sibthorpe Resident Services Manager for Northern California Family an

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., June 19, 2015 – Project Access has promoted Annabelle Sibthorpe to Resident Services Manager of 17 of the nonprofit’s Family and Senior Resource Centers spanning Contra Costa, Alameda, Santa Clara and Sonoma Counties. She joined the organization in 2013 as a part time Resident Services Coordinator in the Keller Plaza apartment community in Oakland.

A major accomplishment she achieved was earning a grant for Project Access from the City of Oakland in the amount of $9,000 for “New and Emerging Festivals” in underserved neighborhoods in Oakland. The grant underwrote last year’s successful “Oakland Movement Festival,” providing free health resources for East Oakland residents and establishing Project Access in the East Bay community. Project Access also received more than $7,000 in in-kind donations for the activity.

Sibthorpe earned her Bachelors of Arts Degree in U.S. History, with a concentration in Race Relations and a Minor in History of Art from the University of California, Berkeley.

Previously, she served as IS Data Manager for the Women’s Daytime Drop-in Center in Berkley and as Public Programs Assistant for the Museum of the African Diaspora in San Francisco.

Project Access directly serves more than 11,000 low-income individuals at over 60 properties in California, Colorado and Arizona where it fosters a culture of change by assisting residents from a broad range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds to improve their lives through education, employment, wellness, and financial capability, among other programs.
