ANAHEIM, Calif., October 29, 2015 – The holiday season of gift giving came a bit earlier this year for youth at the Project Access Family Resource Center at the Hermosa Village Apartment in Anaheim when employees of Banc of California built and donated 10 bicycles to them as a part of a team-building activity.

The youth receiving the new bikes were those who most frequently attended meetings for a tween club at the center, including attending a financial literacy class conducted there by the bank.

Earlier this year, Banc of California adopted the center with a $5,000 donation with the funds going directly to support programs conducted on-site.

“We are delighted that Banc of California chose youth at our Hermosa Village Family Resource Center to receive these bicycles, and thank them for their continuing generosity and financial support,” said Project Access President and CEO Kathy McCarrell.

Project Access directly serves more than 11,000 low-income individuals at over 60 properties in California, Colorado and Arizona where it fosters a culture of change by assisting residents from a broad range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds to improve their lives through education, employment, wellness, and financial capability, among other programs.
